happy Wednesday…

I want to say thank you to all of you who sent me messages, emails, called, dropped off sweet little packages after I closed the Farmhouse…your kindness was overwhelming

since closing I realize how much of each day I missed running the shop…now, I spend quality time with my dear sweet husband, family…have time to have friends over…go on a photography outing with our granddaughters…bake (another passion of mine)…read…go for morning walks…create for my home…and garden

starting next week I will be posting weekly…fun creative ideas…recipes…and…I’m beginning with a blank canvas but you can follow the journey as I start creating a garden sanctuary in our backyard (will post before photos…I’m sooooo excited to share)

you are always one decision away

from a totally different life

life is always changing…

with much sadness I am needing to close the shop…

it is difficult to think about not having my wonderful little shop, my playhouse…a tough decision but my family needs are life’s priority…it is getting more and more challenging for my husband to help me and I’m not able to haul heavy pieces and all the other physical tasks of running a shop alone, more evident with May’s sale…quite a sudden decision…planned a hunt and gather trip to Kentucky on Thursday…so…cargo van rental cancelled…hotel reservations…cancelled…lots of tears

a BIG thank you to Steve and Kevin for pitching in at times to haul those awkward pieces and Mary Jo pitching in helping me move furniture when I needed help

now to all of you…the success of the Farmhouse is all because of the sweet customers that visited…success with respect to the business side but more important to me was success of the heart…you have all made so many lovely memories for me that I will hold dear forever…I will miss seeing each and everyone of you…your happy smiles…our little chats…photos of your homes, your families…the kindness you showed me, bringing me lovely flower bouquets, goodies from your gardens, sweet treats…oh dear…I’m tearing up again…

maybe we’ll see each other when you visit the other great shops in Waseca…or for those that know where I live, drive by and if you see me in the garden…stop by and say hello…I will still post on my blog and instagram so you can see what I’m up to…

I’m giving all of you a BIG squishy hug…

the shop is full of goodies to share with you…cupboards, sweet vintage desk with cubbies, folding farm table, lovely architectural oversized window frames, tobacco stick ladders…oh so many great finds

next Farmhouse sale…May 12-13, 10-4

what a beautiful time of the year…finally warmer temps and sunshine…gardens starting to show lovely blooms (and weeds)…the scent of freshly mowed lawns…such Spring deliciousness

my garden will be waiting my attention until after the May sale…busy hunting and gathering…ohhhh, have found some great finds…one in particular, hmmmmm, does it go to my home or the shop…a lovely piece, white scrumptious patina…and functional…oh dear…tough decision…stay tuned…photos next week…
